SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Many of us have been denied valuable spiritual knowledge for centuries. We have been toddling along with meaningless rituals, customs and traditions.

The time has come not only to get a university education, professional knowledge, general knowledge, spiritual knowledge and the ability to think independently even on religious and spiritual topics.

As we all know that we are not only a physical body but also have an emotional, intellectual and spiritual side to our personality. Academic knowledge alone is insufficient to lead a satisfactory, harmonious and happy life. There is more to life than what meets the eye. Great men like Gandiji, the father of Indian Independence who was able to wage a war of non-violence against the British Empire and got them to quit India and Lord Buddha who renounced his heir to the throne, took to an ascetic life, did independent thinking, meditated deeply and realised the way out of suffering. These people had super emotional, intellectual and spiritual strength to withstand insurmountable problems and overcome all obstacles in their endeavour.

How successful in life will we be if only we had a fraction of this knowledge. Today this knowledge is available to anyone with average intelligence and who is willing to put aside some time and work at it; unfathomable is the benefit. This study is no more a mystery or a mumbo-jumbo. It is logical, scientific and practical.

Gandiji and Lord Buddha did not achieve their goals in a day or two. To get a first degree one has to be educated by one's mother for a few years, and then in a kindergarten for two years, primary school for eleven years, secondary school for five years, upper secondary for a year or two and another four years at a university. How much more does this higher knowledge require?

Rome was not built in a day. If we are willing to put aside a few minutes a day, we too can achieve some priceless spiritual success and build a strong foundation for our life. Life is too precious to be wasted on just physical endeavours or pursuits.

Do not delay. Our happiness is in our hands. Let us not ask someone to do it for us. Take up the challenge before old age, disease and decay set in or some misfortune besets us.

Good luck to all positive and daring spiritual adventurers.

I am passing through this world; let me bring out the best in me.
